The majesty of the scenery enveloping the Castle soothes all who visit. Lord Arbinger, Crimean officer and Her Majesty's chivalrous host all those years ago, built Inverlochy Castle in the early 1 870s, near to the 13th Century fortress that bore its name. Lord Arbinger played an active role in the life of the area and personally oversaw the development of his treasured home. The Castle remained in the family's possession until the second world war.

Later established as a hotel, Inverlochy retains its unsurpassed reputation for hospitality.
