The striking circular design of the EICC made it an Edinburgh landmark long before it opened. What could be inside this imposing, yet welcoming building?
The answer, of course, is everything you’ll ever need for the most successful event you’ve ever organised - whether it’s a major international conference, a training seminar or a private dinner.
Behind the soaring glass, escalators glide between all levels, from exhibition and banqueting area to the main auditorium, with its spacious stage, raked seating and revolving partitions - the first to be installed in a purpose-built European conference centre.
The bright airy entrance hall is big enough to hold a banquet, as well as to receive delegates, provide information points and stage exhibitions.
Breakout rooms for subsidiary meetings and workshops and a wide variety of spaces for meetings, seminars and entertaining will give you all the room sizes you could ever wish for.
Everything at the EICC is of the highest quality: nothing is second best. The technical presentation and communications facilities are modern, efficient and adaptable and there is easy wheelchair access throughout the building. And of course, the standard of food and drink is superb.
The ambience is international, but occasional Scottish touches and flourishes will remind you of your unique surroundings. While other major centres will arrange a dinner dance, we’ll also offer you the choice of a ceilidh; and throughout the Centre, individual suites and rooms have been given names drawn from the Scottish landscape.
Set in the heart of Edinburgh, surrounded by excellent hotels and first class visitor attractions, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre is quite simply one of the world’s most attractive conference venues.
